Nothing like Prayer

We learn to pray by praying. One can devote countless hours to examining the experiences of others, but nothing penetrates the human heart as does a personal, fervent prayer and its heaven-sent response."

Elder Thomas Monson: "Teaching Our Children," Ensign, Oct. 2004, 4

"When temptation comes, you can invent a delete key in your mind—perhaps the words from a favorite hymn. Your mind is in charge; your body is the instrument of your mind. When some unworthy thought pushes into your mind, replace it with your delete key. Worthy music is powerful and can help you control your thoughts." Boyd K. Packer, Ensign, Nov. 2009.
So, control your thoughts on purpose... correct? Mind first, body next, right?

That sweet, quiet voice of inspiration comes more as a "feeling" than it does as a sound. Pure intelligence can be spoken into the mind. The Holy Ghost communicates with our spirits through the mind more than through the physical senses. This guidance comes as thoughts, as "feelings" through promptings and impressions. We may "feel" the words of spiritual communication more than hear them and see with spiritual rather than with mortal eyes." Boyd K. Packer, Ensign, Nov. 2009.

These words from President Packer I know to be true. You actually "feel" the answer directly into your spirit coming from the Holy Ghost. Let's recognize that our feelings are the promised way to have the "constant" companionship of the Holy Ghost. Have you ever tried to turn-off your feelings? Try it, is impossible. Thus, if it feels good after you pray, you have your answer there. If it feels bad after you pray, you have your answer there too, right?
Our feelings are our PGPS (Personal Global Positioning Satellite) in this life. If your are still unsure count the number of times the word "feel" or "feeling" appears in this quote. Direct your attention to that and you'll feel good like I did, that is your answer right there.
